Copper Books

What does your organisation do?
Copper is a hybrid publishing house that partners with thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts to write, publish, and distribute their books, creating an author-centric publishing model with creative control, editorial rigor, and distribution reach. We guide authors through every stage of the publishing process, from manuscript to market, believing the best ideas often come from practitioners who just need a publishing partner willing to bet on them. Many of our authors have been passed over by traditional publishers not because their ideas weren't strong enough, but because their platforms weren't — and we exist to change that.

Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire?
The founder of Copper published a book while completing her MBA at Said Business School, and wanted to create a new publishing model to support authors. Copper is a portfolio company of Oxonian Ventures.

What big problem are you trying to solve?
81% of Americans dream of writing a book someday; less than 1% ever do. The gap isn't a lack of ideas or stories worth telling, but rather a lack of access to the right publishing partner. We exist to grow that 1%.

How can you support the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
