What does your organisation do?
Louisa AI turns a firm's existing relationships into a strategic asset. We ingest email, calendar, LinkedIn, and alumni network data to build a live relationship graph, then surface the warmest path to any target company or individual at exactly the right moment. Our clients use us to win deals faster, onboard clients more effectively, and prevent revenue from slipping through relationship blind spots.
Louisa was born from a single moment. Rohan Doctor, after 17 years as a Goldman Sachs MD, had a chance encounter in a London corridor turn into a multi-million dollar deal. He knew that moment was happening every day across every firm, completely invisibly. Louisa exists to systematise serendipity: to make sure the right introduction happens before the opportunity passes, not after.
Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire?
As the Founder of Louisa, my connection to Oxford is foundational, both personally and intellectually.
I read Physics at St. Anne's College, Oxford (1999–2002), graduating with a Double First on an Academic Scholarship. Those years shaped how I think: rigorously, from first principles, and with a deep belief that the hardest problems are the most worth solving. Oxford also gave me something I didn't fully appreciate at the time: a network of remarkable people whose paths I'd keep crossing for the next two decades.
That network became the proof of concept for Louisa. The deals I went on to close at Goldman Sachs, including the record transaction in 2017 that sparked the idea for this company, were almost always won through relationships, not process. Oxford was where many of those relationships began.
Louisa is named after the person who introduced Goldman and Sachs. The entire product is built around the belief that the right introduction, at the right moment, changes everything. Oxford taught me that, long before I had the data to prove it.
What big problem are you trying to solve?
Most firms have thousands of relationships sitting dormant in inboxes, calendars, and alumni directories, but no way to activate them at the moment they'd actually drive revenue. A banker misses a deal because they didn't know a colleague had a warm contact at the target. A VC misses a founder because no one surfaced the connection in time. Louisa solves the institutional memory problem: we make every relationship in a firm visible, searchable, and actionable, before the moment passes.
How can you support the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
We'd love to work with Oxford's alumni networks, research commercialisation offices, and venture-backed spinouts who need to activate their relationship capital as they scale. Louisa is also a natural fit for Oxford-affiliated funds, accelerators, and angel groups looking to map and leverage their collective network. In return, we can offer relationship intelligence infrastructure to ecosystem builders, and would welcome introductions to Oxford-affiliated financial institutions and professional services firms exploring AI-native tools.
