What does your organisation do?
We provide our customers with deep insights on their greenhouse gas emissions. We use a laser scanner to detect and measure gases such as methane and nitrous oxide and then our software team process that data to localise, quantify and visualise the emissions. We help our customers to reduce their carbon footprint and keep their people safer. Our solutions are applicable across the energy and agricultural sectors, including oil and gas, wastewater treatment, landfill, biogas, dairy farming etc.
Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire?
Mirico is a spin out company from Dr Damien Weidman at the RAL Space spectroscopy group on Harwell Campus. We have always worked nearby and collaborate closely with the team there.
What big problem are you trying to solve?
In short, we are helping to solve climate change. Greenhouse gases such as methane and nitrous oxide are contributing to climate change – but you can’t mitigate what you can’t measure. Giving our customers insights into their GHG emissions enables them to reduce them and put those gasses to better use
How can you support the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
We are always on the look out to collaborate with other companies, big or small and offer opportunities to invest in us.
