What does your organisation do?
We are best in class for non invasive non drug obesity treatments with weight loss of >6.4% in people is class 1 obesity (BMI 30-35)at 24 weeks and not plateauing, we expect to see weight loss of 10-12% at the 52 week mark in this group making us equal to or better than Lilly's oral GLP1 orfoglipron
Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire?
Our founding team is based in Oxford and our CSO completed her DPhil at Oxford in Biomaterials
What big problem are you trying to solve?
Sirona is positioned to transform two major, underserved markets:
1.Overweight (BMI 25–30): A space with no effective treatments today
2.Post–GLP-1 weight maintenance: A rapidly expanding unmet need as millions of patients discontinue GLP-1 therapy
Our drug delivery platform will allow chronic disease to be treated with once weekly dosing whilst also improving PK profiles and reducing inter PK variabilities.
