Oxford Sustainable

What does your organisation do?
Almost every product causes damage to planet/society in some way. Therefore companies, individuals and governments spend considerable money on sustainability to put a sticking plaster on the problems they caused themselves. Clearly the current system is fundamentally broken. Now, every penny spent on Sustainability Units with Oxford Sustainable both generates profit and improves the planet in parallel.

Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire?
We are Oxford University alumni founded and OUI incubator (phase I) supported.

What big problem are you trying to solve?
Our socio-economic model doesn't work. Planet and Profit are in conflict. For example, cutting down more rainforest is good to make new paper and increase profit, but it damages the planet. Sustainable spend, carbon credits, donations and similar costs are good to help the planet, but companies, government and individuals become poorer and give away balance sheet assets and thus lose money to do so - a fundamental conflict.
By developing a new economics, AI, methodology built using 20 years experience and a bespoke ecosystem, we have created a new type of product where there is no longer a conflict. This is not only potentially revolutionary for the industry (who wouldn't like to make a profit instead of a loss?) but for our economy. Imagine a future where value is generated, assets are valued and profit is made through direct, positive impact on society and the environment.
Wouldn't that be something?
How can you support the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
Bringing this knowledge and product to market can potentially lead to a fundamentally positive change in environmental economics. Local companies and the public sector can benefit from profitable (instead of loss-making) sustainability.
